Confident Adolescent - Intermediate Skills
Once your dog reaches their adolescent's (depending on breed), things can change. That dog who was so excellent at skills in puppyhood, can now show independence and rebel.
Much like human teenagers, adolescent dogs may push limits and try things they never have before. Adolescence is actually the hardest period in bringing up a dog.
This course is designed to help you and your dog through this period in their life, but is available for any dog 6 months or older. It is also perfect for anyone who wants to sharpen the skills they learned in the Confident Canine course.
We will most likely do some work in public areas to help you and your dog to perform skills with real world distractions. We do live in Newfoundland though, so weather permitting :-)
Course Consists of:
- Focus on you (even with distractions)
- Solid Sit Stay
- Solid Down Stay
- Recall through Distractions
- Loose Leash Walking (Solidifying this skill even in the real world)
- Other Leash Skills
- Settle and Relaxation Techniques
- Some Fun Skills that can prepare you and your dog for dog sports
